Originally we started with a highly theoretical design base, but as the design progressed and developed, the main elements of the design seemed to come together, almost like destiny, until finally we had uncovered this beautiful and inviting piece. |

I wanted to design something that's relevant to medical research. Combining that with a functional piece of furniture was an enormous task. I got my inspiration from seeing a super-imposed picture of a DNA strand and coloured hexagonal and pentagonal shapes. |
