Julijana Trifunovic

Julijana started her working life as a paediatric nurse working at the Royal Alexandra Hospital for Children in Camperdown, specialising in Paediatric Oncology. The experience of working with children with cancer and their families will be with her for ever. It was just as much joyous as it was tragic. It was here where she began to see the need for extra help needed from the community to raise funds and began fundraising voluntarily for the hospital. Julijana left the nursing profession in 1994, to take on a full-time job as a professional fundraiser and in 2002 took on the most exciting position of her career as National Campaign Manager for Jeans for Genes. The Children’s Medical Research Institute is one of the best research facilities in the world and raising funds for such a facility is not only vital but very exciting. She has also studied marketing, so the combination of marketing and health very much suits the position.
